My first week back on the road brought me to Nashville, TN. And the first night I had a delicious prime rib sandwich from Darfons. This was not quite in downtown Nashville, but a very good place if you are out by the airport in Nashville.
The following evening we went into downtown Nashville. We drove past the Grand Ole Opry House, before eating at Bailey's Irish Bar on Broadway. Right up the road from the Bridgestone Center where the Nashville Predators play. Broadway has a ton of fun places to visit, many of which play live music (even on Tuesdays).
After dinner we walked down to 2nd Street to check out the bars down there. We visited Coyote Ugly which was rather uneventful. From there we walked around some more and checked out many different bars. Had my first true Nashville-experience at The Stage on Broadway...where the live music was good, but not my style. We then made our way back down to more contemporary music places on 2nd Street.
Nashville seemed like it would be a wild place on the weekends. However, on a Tuesday I found it to be filled with older people wearing country music inspired clothing. So if you are into country music then Nashville is a great city.
